Atwell is pleased to welcome Britton Burnworth, PWS to our team as Project Manager, Environmental. Based in Atwell’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office, Burnworth is responsible for building Atwell’s environmental practice, managing project resources, leading his team’s project quality control, and maintaining project budgets and schedules for projects throughout Pennsylvania and the Northeast.
Burnworth brings more than 17 years of experience in providing environmental solutions to transportation, commercial, oil, natural gas, and local government projects. His project management background includes the oversight of large linear and complex projects, contractor oversight, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. His technical experience includes wetland delineation, mitigation and monitoring, terrestrial and aquatic habitat assessments, watershed assessments and planning, ecological surveys and threatened and endangered species coordination. He also has experience with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation, state and federal permitting, natural gas pipeline routing, well pad feasibility and siting, and compliance monitoring. He brings a strong working knowledge of regulations and impact on various projects within the states of New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Burnworth earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a major in Terrestrial Ecology and minor in Geology from University of Pittsburgh. He is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist and has obtained Ecological, Waterways Permitting, and Categorical Exclusion Prequalification’s from Ohio Department of Transportation.
